Miss Maddy is thrilled to join the TDC team as a new dance instructor! Her journey in dance began at the tender age of three, and she quickly distinguished herself as a nationally recognized title winner in both solo and group performances. Maddy's dedication to her craft led her to prestigious training opportunities, including participation in premier conventions and the acclaimed Joffrey Jazz and Contemporary Program. Her talent was further showcased when she was selected as a soloist to compete at the renowned Dance Awards in New York City.
Her ballet training includes summer intensives with principal dancers from Les Ballets Trockadero, which greatly enriched her technique and artistry. While pursuing her degree at Penn State University, Maddy co-founded and served as President of The Nittany Dance Project, an advanced-level dance club specializing in jazz, contemporary, and hip hop. The club's innovative choreography and dynamic performances earned them a notable spot on the stage of THON, the world’s largest student-run philanthropy, where they performed for a live audience of over 15,000 people and many more viewers online.
In addition to her role in NDP, Maddy was an active member and officer of the Penn State Dance Alliance, further solidifying her commitment to the dance community. Her passion for dance also led her to memorable experiences as a member of the Trenton Thunder Dance Team, where she performed on the baseball diamond and created lasting childhood memories.
Maddy recently graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in General Science and a Minor in Childhood Maltreatment and Advocacy Studies. Outside of teaching, she continues to pursue her own dance training, cherishes time with her friends, family, and her three beloved dogs—Beau, Luna, and Rosie. With a boundless enthusiasm for dance and an infectious energy, Miss Maddy is excited to meet everyone and contribute to the vibrant TDC community!
