Technique Class

This class will focus on general dance technique including but not limited to ballet, lyrical, jazz, and contemporary styles of dance. Dancers will work on flexibility, control, body alignment and strength needed for skills such as jumps, leaps, turns, and floorwork. The class will also include conditioning and working on stamina.

Prerequisite

Previous class(es) in ballet and jazz are recommended.

Age

Ages 10+

Attire

Any Dance Corner or WWPDC dancewear top, black t-shirt, black long sleeve top, black camisole, or black leotard is acceptable. Any sort of Dance Corner dancewear bottom, black shorts, or black jazz pants/leggings is acceptable.

Hair

Hair must be tied back off of the face.

Shoes

Girls 5-8: Tan leather split sole slip on jazz boot. Boys 5-8: Black leather split sole slip on jazz boot. Ages 9 and older: Turners to match skin tone.
