Pre Ballet/Tap

Dancers will learn the beginner steps of ballet and the rhythmic skills of elementary tap. Basic terminology is taught for both types of dance. This class consists of 30 minutes of ballet and 15 minutes of tap. Parents may watch from the waiting room or leave and return for pick-up at the end of class. If your child needs help using the bathroom, we ask you to say in the waiting area case she/he needs to go during class time. Dancers will perform two routines (one ballet and one tap) in the annual recital.

Age

Ages 4-6

Attire

Girls: Black leotard with pink footed or convertible dance tights. No skirts or tutus allowed. Boys: White T-Shirt and black dance/athletic pants.

Hair

Hair must be tied back off of the face in a ponytail or bun.

Shoes

Girls: Pink leather ballet slippers and black tap shoes. Boys: Black leather ballet slippers and black tap shoes.
